Technique and condition
Watercolour sketch of mountains and lake. The support is an off-white, wove paper that is generally in good condition. There are some localised stains and ingrained surface dirt around the edges.
The scene depicts mountains that are bathed in red and orange (sunset or sunrise) reflected in the lake below. It has been painted with fluid brush strokes, with heavier applications in the mountains in the background, and more watery washes for the water in the foreground. The media is in good condition.
