Catalogue entry

Although no foreground is indicated, these rapidly rendered vessels were probably observed of the Molo or the Riva degli Schiavoni, with the familiar outlines of the campanile and dome of San Giorgio Maggiore beyond on the right, to the south-east across the Bacino. The church is seen at similar angles from the Piazzetta on the verso and folio 80 recto (D32418–D32419).
