Catalogue entry

The subject is drawn with the page turned horizontally. Finberg listed the subject tentatively, but later, with corroboration from Turner scholar C.F. Bell,1 concluded that the subject is indeed Easby, a mile downstream from Richmond on the River Swale. Another view of the abbey is on folio 26 recto (D00931; Turner Bequest XXXIV 25).
