Catalogue entry

Two unidentified landscape sketches. The view at the top appears to show buildings on a hill or cliff whilst the sketch underneath may show a jetty or pier. This sketch may predate the artist’s use of the sketchbook as a notebook relating to his Italian travels in the autumn of 1819.
