Catalogue entry

Drawn with the sketchbook inverted. These sketches are very slight, but the tower of the Shot Manufactory, Bermondsey and the tower of St Saviour’s Church (now Southwark Cathedral) are recognisable beyond the southern end of the bridge, left. See Introduction to the sketchbook for plans in the mid 1820s for a series of London subjects, including this subject, the Custom House and the Tower.
