Technique and condition
A watercolour with pencil underdrawing on cream wove paper. The drawing is in good condition with noticeable surface dirt and small areas of foxing.
On acquisition the work was removed from its secondary support lining and old adhesives removed. The work was dry-cleaned to reduce surface dirt and pressed. It was then inlaid and mounted onto white museum board.
