Helen Chadwick: Body and Landscape brings together works by one of Britain's most innovative contemporary artists. Presented at Oriel y Parc in partnership with Amgueddfa Cymru - Museum Wales, this ARTIST ROOMS exhibition explores Chadwick's fascination with the body, identity and the natural world. Her iconic installation Piss Flowers (1991-2) and photographic works are shown alongside some of her Viral Landscapes (1988-9), which can be seen in the landscape that inspired them for the first time. This exhibition offers a unique opportunity to experience Chadwick's work within the surroundings of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park.
Located within the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, Oriel y Parc is a partnership between Amgueddfa Cymru - Museum Wales and the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority. Bringing together contemporary art, national collections and the surrounding landscape, the gallery creates opportunities for visitors to experience art in dialogue with one of Britain's most extraordinary coastal environments.
ARTIST ROOMS presents the work of international artists in solo exhibitions drawn from a national touring collection jointly owned by Tate and National Galleries of Scotland. Its programme reaches audiences across the UK and is developed through local partnerships. ARTIST ROOMS gives young people the chance to get involved in creative projects, to discover more about art and artists, and learn new skills.
The ARTIST ROOMS programme and collection is managed by Tate and National Galleries of Scotland with the support of Art Fund, Henry Moore Foundation and using public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England and Creative Scotland. Its founding collection was established through The d'Offay Donation in 2008 with the assistance of the National Heritage Memorial Fund, Art Fund and the Scottish and British Governments.
