Art Now Live presents an evening of performances.

Athanasios Argianas presents Coil Studies II (the width of a strand of your hair), an installation that is intermittently activated through speech and gesture.

Andy Holden and his father, ornithologist Peter Holden, unravel the natural history, science and musicality of the sounds made by birds attempting to attract a mate or defend their territory.

David Musgrave presents excerpts from his work of fiction, a narrative of an artificial being, tracing the course of its existence from construction to extinction.

Laure Prouvost uses the spoken word to weave a compelling tale that starts in the familiar world of the gallery.

This paper takes as its starting point two drawings by David Musgrave in Tate’s collection, Plane with inverted figure 2007 and Folded plane no.2 2009. It examines Musgrave’s motivation for employing traditional drawing techniques and investigates what the medium of drawing can offer an artist today.
