Cause & Effect: Does conversation create change?

8 July 2015 at 12.00–14.00

Can conversation create real change in  the realm of the personal and the social? When do ideas become action? Can a change in opinion lead to different choices?

This Soapbox session will look back and review some of the topics we’ve covered in the last year. We will also be visiting the Tate Britain Collection to test out some ideas for the future and the idea of creating change.

What is soapbox?

Soapbox at Tate Britain is an opportunity for people near or beyond the age of 60 to meet, to air opinions and share discussions on life and art.

Soapbox explores links between social issues that are important to you and the work of artists from our collection that are on display at Tate Britain. Soapbox will challenge your thinking and offer you the chance to say what you feel in a supportive and friendly group.
