Join us as we explore narratives of queer art histories and LGBTQ representation

The show and tell will discuss the role of the library and archive in providing access to often hidden narratives of art history through a selected display of resources available for staff and visitors researching LGBTQ art.

The display will feature a selection of key publications from the library and archive collections such as artists’ books, zines, photobooks, exhibition catalogues, monographs, and critical theory, as well as photographs, letters and documents from the archive. The display will explore examples of art and activism, queer self-publishing, language and identity, transgender representation and the photobook, and diverse narratives of art history.

Material selected by Holly Callaghan (Liaison Librarian) and Clare Sexton (Archive Curator)
