Flights of Passage - RadioCity

For RadioCity, Sutapa Biswas presents Flights of Passage, an adaptation of a participatory performance sound work entitled To Kill Two Birds with One Stone, exploring questions of identity and migration through everyday clothing.

A sound, installation and performance piece – Sutapa will be building a new sonic alphabet as part of Flights of Passage based on her conversations with people over the course of the week, played back on the final day.

Drop into the Learning Gallery to discuss saris and symbolism, home and ‘belonging’, and the stories that clothing and objects tell. Bring along an item of clothing or object that means something to you, or just turn up.

Sutapa Biswas

Sutapa Biswas has worked as an artist in residence in numerous museum and gallery contexts in theUKand internationally, with considerable experience of working with broadcast radio including withLondonbased Radio Station ONFM Radio 101.4 where she spearheaded and produced a series of conversations with high profile speakers.
