Aged 16-24? Create your own spoken word piece and perform live in the gallery this Black History Month

Join artist Blue Saint for a series of creative workshops this October. Together, you will create your own spoken word piece in response to the art on display at Tate Liverpool. This could be a poem, prose or rap.

Young writers will work directly with Blue Saint in workshops and one to one sessions to craft their spoken word piece with a chance to perform live at our late event on Saturday 6 November.

Daniel Sebuyange, known professionally as Blue Saint, is a Congolese and British rapper, singer-songwriter, spoken word poet, actor, producer and designer. A member of Writing on the Wall’s Liverpool Young Writers from the age of 12 to 16, Blue Saint has gone on to receive many accolades and achievements for his music, community work and activism. Throughout October for Black History Month, Blue Saint will be in residence at Tate Liverpool offering new interpretations and reflections on the work of Black artists in Tate’s collection.
