Drop in for a screening of new animated film by fat activist, Stacy Bias. Focusing on cramped conditions on flights, this work explores themes of dehumanisation, social attitudes and anxiety.
The animation presents the voices of passengers as they explain the challenges of fitting into spaces that exclude them both socially and materially. The work encourages people to empathise and to think about the political and economic relations that contribute to this exclusion.
This film is programmed by DaDaFest. a Tate Exchange Liverpool Associate, in collaboration with Dr Bethan Evans from University of Liverpool.
