Get stuck into printmaking at this six-week practical course

This printmaking course poses the question ‘Can art be a force for social change?’. Taking inspiration from the work in Theaster Gates: Amalgam, printmaker Colette Whittington will help you to develop your own response to the place you call home. Experiment with collagraph printmaking techniques, recycled materials, carborundum and a printing press. All abilities welcome, no previous experience necessary.

Biography

Colette Whittington is a Liverpool based artist/ educator specialising in printmaking. She has been working and leading on Art Foundation Courses in the North West for over 20 years. Colette delivers workshops and Arts Council projects. As well as lecturing part-time at Wigan and Leigh College, she is working with Lime Arts as an artist in residence at Manchester Hospital Trust.
