Join us for a Liverpool-exclusive screening of the recently released CNA Insider documentary The Exiles: My Stolen Chinese Father. At the end of the Second World War, hundreds of Chinese seamen who served with the Allies vanished from their homes in Liverpool, England. This film follows the stories of their descendants searching for clues as to what happened.
The screening will be followed by a Q&A with Yvonne and Charles Foley, who are featured in the film. Yvonne Foley is the daughter of a Chinese seaman and English mother. For twenty years, she and her husband Charles have been researching the story of the deportations.
Free refreshments will be provided.
