Inspired by the story of the Greek hero Odysseus’s journey, visitors can share their ideas, memories of and feelings about home and identity which look at the movement of people. At the project’s conclusion, a new media ‘pathway artwork’ will be created to animate the Royal Albert Dock and provide visitors with their own personal Odyssey to explore.

Odyssey:Explorations is an arts project by Fion Gunn which explores how transformative our personal journeys can be, when set against a backdrop of the global movement of peoples, cultures, materials and ideas.

The project is a collaboration between Gunn, Tate Exchange Liverpool, International Slavery Museum and a group of Liverpool artists. It is funded with a lottery grant by Arts Council England.
