Join Lynsey Hanley and Darren McGarvey in conversation about poverty, social class and inclusion in modern Britain.

Biographies

Lynsey Hanley is the author of Estates: An Intimate History and Respectable: Crossing the Class Divide. She is a regular contributor to the Guardian, the Financial Times and the LRB blog, and is a visiting research fellow at Liverpool John Moores University.

Darren McGarvey is the author of Poverty Safari: Understanding the Anger of Britain’s Underclass. He is a Glasgow born rapper, social commentator and recipient of the 2018 Orwell Book Prize.
