What does it mean to produce artwork in extreme circumstances?

Join FESTIVAL31 for a week of activities that will explore the experiences of refugee artists. Join the daily discussions that will raise questions around productivity and creativity during times of chaos and the impact on artistic production when resources are limited.

FESTIVAL31 fosters connection through art by inviting people to look Under the Surface of the refugee experience and the production of art in extreme conditions.

Each day there will be drop-in conversations and the opportunity to swap skills with the festival artists from 12.00 – 15.00.

Join us for a focused debate on Saturday 23 June (or listen in live online) and drop in to maker sessions with the artists and festival curator on Sunday 24 June. All activities take place between 12.00 – 15.00.
