Spend time with one work by Ana Mendieta through slow looking and shared discussion.
Together, we will look at the details, materials and ideas in the work. We will think about how Mendieta used the body, earth and natural forms to explore memory, place and belonging. We will also ask how our response may change when we give one work more time.
The session is relaxed and open to different views, questions and ideas. No prior knowledge of Mendieta or art history is needed.
