Join us for a tour of the new spaces of Tate Modern

From the panoramic roof terrace overlooking the London skyline to new galleries, there lot’s to explore in the new Switch House.

Did you know the Natalie Bell Building chimney is 99 meters high and that approximately 4.2 million bricks make up the building? Tate Modern is a remarkable combination of old and new.  Bankside Power station was built 1947 and 1963 and was designed by the architect Sir Giles Gilbert Scott . In 2000 it became Tate Modern and is now the world’s most popular museum of modern and contemporary art, attracting around 5 million visitors each year. In June 2016 architects Herzog & de Meuron completed a new extension with 60% more display space to this iconic building.

This tour is delivered in BSL by guide (and practicing architect) Martin Glover. Please meet at the Turbine Hall entrance.
