Change the Age/nda: Art, Ageing, and Power With Flourishing Lives

4–5 April 2020
Intergenerational performance with Claremont Project

Intergenerational performance with Claremont Project

Explore the subtle shifts in power that we experience as we age, whether young or old

In a cultural climate where the divisions between older and younger people are often magnified and distorted, Change the Age/nda will examine the complex balance of political and personal power between the different generations, and explore the role that art can play in bringing us all closer together.

Drop in and take part in an intergenerational exchange that will challenge perceptions of ageing, and celebrate the profound sense of empowerment, expression and community that older people can access through art.

Our Change the Age/nda programme partners will include artists, community groups and organisations from across the Flourishing Lives coalition.

About Flourishing Lives

Flourishing Lives is a coalition of arts, health and wellbeing organisations taking a creative and aspirational approach to supporting richer, more independent lives for people over the age of 55. We combat social isolation amongst older people by promoting community, expression and engagement through the arts. Our aim is to change the public discourse around ageing by fostering an intergenerational exchange of ideas, knowledge and inspiration and celebrating the immense contribution that older people make to both art and society. Flourishing Lives is kindly supported by City Bridge Trust.
