Develop your students’ contextual and critical research skills through working with a diverse, innovative and inventive range of creative approaches in the gallery at Tate Modern

Ideal for those delivering art and design qualifications, especially GCSE, AS and A Level Art and Design and BTEC. This course will help you to maximise the teaching opportunities afforded by being with art in a gallery setting, with a focus on exam assessment processes and the development of students’ critical research skills.

  • Discover ways to apply the exploration of artworks and artists’ practice within the gallery to support student learning
  • Explore strategies to improve student engagement by embracing the unexpected, experimentation and discovery
  • Reflect on your own learning; apply findings in your teaching and measure impact
