How can art help you activate creativity, what are the practical steps that you can take?

Over four sessions, Michael Atavar takes you to the centre of your creativity – beginning, looking at images, working with yourself and finding a voice. We examine art and artists from Tate’s collection after hours, tying the classroom to the object, the performance, the event. The intention is to explore your creative development through proximity to these practitioners’ work.

The focus is on activities that expand your awareness; each session encouraging your individual understanding of art practice. The process is dynamic – dialogue, shared exercises and active doing.

This course is for those interested in developing creativity but not necessarily currently activating their own creative practice.

Led by artist and creative consultant Michael Atavar, author of How To Be An Artist, 12 Rules Of Creativity, Everyone Is Creative and the creative card system 210CARDS (a collaboration with Miles Hanson).
