Emilie Giles 2014

This research workshop invites you to create e-textiles with artist Emilie Giles

What are the hand motions of weaving that might form a kinetic control system for creating music? How do texture and movement relate to our expectations of a responsive interface? Inspired by Anni Albers’s work, artist Emilie Giles and Dr Sarah Wiseman from Goldsmiths University will lead an e-textiles weaving workshop. Participants will explore these ideas, using electro-conductive thread and computer-generated sounds.
