Master of the Lump with Shaun Doyle

Franz West Omega 2008 Courtesy Peder Lund © Estate Franz West © Archiv Franz West

Explore theatre, gesture, language and collaboration in the work of Franz West

Artist Shaun Doyle leads an anarchic sculptural course inspired by the Franz West exhibition.

You will have the chance to return to childhood play through papier-mâché mash-ups, cheeky sculptural lumps and the joy and humour of the unexpected.

We will explore bodily reactions to forms, make individual and collaborative works, consider these in relation to space and language, and experience the effects of musical intervention on a technical sculptural workshop.

Shaun Doyle (b.1968) studied at Wimbledon School of Art and the Royal College of Art, London. His work deals with political themes, utilising an eclectic range of cultural references. Shaun lives and works in London.
