Tate Modern Access

Giacometti: out of hours access for disabled visitors

26 June 2017 at 19.30–21.30

Alberto Giacometti, Caroline 1965. Tate. © The Estate of Alberto Giacometti (Fondation Giacometti, Paris and ADAGP, Paris), licensed in the UK by ACS and DACS, London 2025.

Join this special event for visitors with disabilities, their carers or family members

Join us for a fully accessible private view of the Giacometti exhibition for deaf, blind, partially sighted and disabled audiences as well as their carers, family members and friends. This evening also allows ease of access for mobility-impaired visitors who would find it difficult to visit during opening hours. Guide dogs welcome.

This exhibition brings together over 250 works of the celebrated sculptor, painter and draughtsman Alberto Giacometti. His distinctive elongated figures are some of the most instantly recognisable works of modern art. This exhibition reasserts Giacometti’s place alongside the likes of Matisse, Picasso and Degas as one of the great painter-sculptors of the 20th century.

This evening includes an audio described tour of the exhibition for blind and partially sighted visitors and tour with BSL interpretation.
