Hint: The power of small differences With CREATE, University of London

30–31 May 2020
An image of neurons firing

Neurons firing

Small changes matter – explore how they can make a huge difference in art and science

Could moving one point make a big difference for the bigger picture? Power often comes from large numbers, loud voices and flashy slogans. It can also come from small differences which add up or act as a tipping point.

Artists have explored the power of these subtle hints for centuries. Today, they are joined by renowned designers and scientists to use even more effectively the power of small differences, and invent subtle ways to disrupt the status quo. In this interactive exhibit, come and discover by yourself how these new techniques are invented, and get inspired in return to see how your small decisions can make a huge difference.

About CREATE (Centre for Research in Experimental Aesthetics, Technology and Education)

CREATE (Centre for Experimental Aesthetics), at the University of London, connects the humanities to the neurosciences, to advance our understanding of how culture works, and how the arts and new technologies affect our bodies and minds.
