Join this artist-led event to take-part in discussion, practical activities, reflection and collaboration with teaching peers.
This event is co-hosted by Tate’s Schools and Teachers team with A New Direction's I Am Network who connect and champion educators working with Deaf, disabled & neurodivergent children across London.
During the session, you will:
- Connect with peers working with Deaf, disabled and neurodivergent children and young people
- Spend time between the galleries and a dedicated learning space
- Develop confidence in using art and culture in your teaching practice
- Make connections between your learning and that of your students
- Take part in discussion, practical activities and reflection
- Connect to current art practice and encounter new cultural references
- Share and discuss with peers how representation and identity are explored through the arts curriculum
All attendees are invited to join us for a free, informal lunch at 13.00 to connect with your teaching peers before the event with the main session starting at 14.00. You are also invited to visit Tate Modern Exhibition, Emily Kam Kngwarray for free at 16.30.
