Discover the exhibition from a curatorial perspective

Join exhibition curator Katy Wan for an hour-long tour and private view of Tate Modern's landmark retrospective, Ilya and Emilia Kabakov: Not Everyone Will Be Taken in the Future. Explore how the Kabakovs drew from personal narratives, Soviet cosmism and material culture to create their immersive environments and installations, including the iconic work Labyrinth (My Mother's Album).

Katy Wan has been Assistant Curator at Tate Modern since 2015, contributing towards exhibitions, acquisitions and displays. She has helped to realise the major touring exhibitions Mona Hatoum (Tate Modern, 2016) and The EY Exhibition: Wifredo Lam (Tate Modern, 2016), and most recently, worked towards the exhibition Ilya and Emilia Kabakov: Not Everyone Will Be Taken Into the Future (Tate Modern, 2017) – a collaboration between Tate Modern, the State Hermitage Museum, St Petersburg, and the State Tretyakov Gallery, Moscow.
