As Tate Modern presents a large-scale exhibition of Turner Prize Winning artist Lubaina Himid’s career highlights alongside new work, this is a unique opportunity to hear the artist discuss this new exhibition and her practice. Himid will be joined in conversation by Dorothy Price, chaired by Christine Eyene.

Biographies
Lubaina Himid CBE (born 1954) is a British artist and curator. She is a professor of contemporary art at the University of Central Lancashire. Her art focuses on themes of cultural history and reclaiming identities.
Dorothy Price is Professor of Modern and Contemporary Art at The Courtauld and Editor of the journal Art History. In a recently co-edited special issue with Sonia Boyce OBE RA , entitled Rethinking British Art: Black Artists and Modernism, the editors included an archival piece, Fragments, originally published by Lubaina Himid in 1985, as well an essay by Price reflecting on Himid's practice over the past few decades
Christine Eyene is an art historian, critic, and curator. She is a Research Fellow in Contemporary Art at the University of Central Lancashire where she works on Making Histories Visible, an interdisciplinary visual arts research project led by the artist and Professor of Contemporary Art Lubaina Himid CBE RA.
