Members Night Curators Talk: Turner and Constable*

As part of your exclusive Members night, take the opportunity to book this hour talk with the Curator of the Turner and Constable exhibition.

Learn about the behind the scenes creation of this landmark anniversary exhibition as well as exploring the relationship between the two artists with Dr Amy Concannon, Senior Curator of Historic British Art at Tate.

Workshop: Festive Watercolours with Alice Davies

Join us for a festive workshop celebrating the beauty of winter through watercolour. Inspired by the luminous, expressive techniques of J.M.W. Turner, this session invites you to explore both traditional and experimental approaches to painting with watercolour. You’ll have the chance to play, experiment, and create your own beautiful, Turner-esque winter scene, perfect for turning into a handmade festive card.

Workshop: Introduction to Photography: Lee Miller*

This practical mini workshop takes its inspiration from the Lee Miller exhibition to explore the potential of avant-garde and surrealist photography in relation to Tate Britain and its collection displays. We will look at specific Lee Miller works in the exhibition and introduce you to relevant photographic techniques before you apply these insights to your own work.

Over the course of the session, you will have fun experimenting with new techniques in the gallery spaces with expert guidance from Marianne Holm Hansen.

Workshop: Wreath Making with Botanical Boys

Join Botanical Boys for a special wreathmaking session where you’ll create your own festive wreath with an array of fresh pine cuttings, dried fruit, and natural accents. All tools are included, and you’ll get guidance from expert wreath makers. Take your wreath home in time to display it for winter or give your wreath away as a special hand-crafted gift.

Join us for live jazz sets with Poppy Daniels and her band

Known for her exceptional trumpet playing, Poppy Daniels has built a reputation as a key figure in the UK jazz scene, collaborating with some of the most respected artists including Blue Lab Beats, Daniel Casimir, Celeste, Jordan Rakei, Arlo Parks, Hak Baker, and more. She has performed at prestigious venues around the world, earning a reputation as a dynamic and versatile musician.

2025 sees Poppy step into the spotlight as an artist in her own right releasing her debut EP Keep on Going, blending her London roots with influences from jazz, Latin, and hip hop to create a rich and vibrant sonic landscape.
