Biography

Matthew Gale

Matthew Gale is Head of Displays at Tate Modern and one of the curators responsible for International Modern Art at Tate. He was the co-curator and co-author of Giorgio Morandi (with Donna De Salvo), 2001 and Constantin Brancusi: the Essence of Things (with Carmen Giménez), 2004. His other publications include: Dada & Surrealism, 1998; Alfred Wallis, 1999; Barbara Hepworth: Works in the Tate Gallery Collection and the Barbara Hepworth Museum St Ives (with Chris Stephens), 1999; and Beyond Painting: Burri, Fontana, Manzoni, 2005.

Natalia Sidlina

Natalia Sidlina lives and works in London. She has a BA in Museum Studies (State University of Humanities), an MA in Contemporary Art History (Sorbonne University) and a PhD in Art History (State Institute of Art Research). She specialises in Russian émigré art and from 2005 has worked in the Russian and British museum sectors. Her exhibition projects include: Russian Constructivism Reconstructed, a permanent exhibition at the State Tretyakov Galley, Moscow 2006; Naum Gabo – Prototypes for Sculptures, Tate Britain 2010; and Cosmonauts: birth of the space age, Science Museum, London 2015.
