Hosted by curator Bruce Hainley alongside writer Wayne Koestenbaum, this evening honours the expansive legacy of artist Larry Johnson on the occasion of his first institutional exhibition in Europe at Raven Row (until 9 August). The conversation, enriched with film clips, will touch on a wide range of subjects close to Johnson’s work, including queer topographies, labour in Hollywood and sub-cultural cinema.

The event will conclude with a screening of Rosa von Praunheim cult film Tally Brown, New York 1977/78, a portrait of the iconic star of New York underground specially selected by Hainley and Koestenbaum.
