Meet Lucy Farfort, award-winning author and illustrator of In Our Hands

Join us for a reading of In Our Hands, a story about a group of determined children who re-introduce colour to the world and build a better future for everyone, by author-illustrator Lucy Farfort, winner of Faber Children’s inaugural FAB prize.

Take part in creative activities and share your ideas for change in your communities (however big or small) on our kindness trees on-site.

In partnership with the Centre for Literacy in Primary Education.

Find out more about their Back to School teaching unit around In Our Hands here.

All Tate Modern entrances are step-free. You can enter via the Turbine Hall and into the Natalie Bell Building on Holland Street, or into the Blavatnik Building on Sumner street.

There are lifts to every floor of the Blavatnik and Nathalie Bell buildings. Alternatively you can take the stairs.

  • Fully accessible toilets are located on every floor on the concourses.
  • A quiet room is available to use in the Natalie Bell Building on Level 4.
  • Ear defenders can be borrowed from the Ticket desks.
