Tate Kids Free Summer Films

12 - 16 August 13.00 - 15.00
Book cover Mildred the Gallery cat

Drop-in to see a series of short films for kids

Join us for a cinematic summer screening of a selection of Tate Kids short films, including Mildred the Gallery Cat, our new film inspired by a real life cat who lived in Tate Modern who accidentally becomes an artist.

This will be a relaxed viewing suitable for all ages in Tate Modern's Starr Cinema. The films are all less than around 5 minutes long.

You are welcome to bring packed lunches into the space. There will not be allocated seats and there will be some low lighting. Subtitles will be provided on all films.

Free, drop-in, no ticket required.

Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Mildred the Gallery Cat is available to buy at Tate Shop in-gallery and online. Want more art films for kids? Visit Tate Kids – Tate's website for 5-11 year olds.

All Tate Modern entrances are step-free. You can enter via the Turbine Hall and into the Natalie Bell Building on Holland Street, or into the Blavatnik Building on Sumner street.

There are lifts to every floor of the Blavatnik and Nathalie Bell buildings. Alternatively you can take the stairs.

  • Fully accessible toilets are located on every floor on the concourses.
  • A quiet room is available to use in the Natalie Bell Building on Level 4.
  • Ear defenders can be borrowed from the Ticket desks.

To help plan your visit to Tate Modern, have a look at our visual story. It includes photographs and information about what you can expect from a visit to the gallery.
