A partner event to the Can it be about us? Art and Alternative Provision Teachers Study Day, this event invites an extended conversation around the transformative possibilities of spending time with art for young people and particularly for those excluded or at risk of school avoidance or exclusion from mainstream education.
Hear from colleagues working in the sector and from young people themselves. Take part in activities and share your own experiences.
Tate will 'host' but not 'lead' the event, which we hope will offer an informal space for reciprocal learning, surfacing and celebrating the range of expertise held in the room and for making connections across our work and experiences.
Our study days are accessible to all. To discuss any access needs call +44 (0)20 7887 8888 (select Option 3).
All Tate Modern entrances are step-free. Entrance to the event will be via the Blavatnik Building on Sumner Street.
There are lifts to every floor of the Blavatnik and Natalie Bell buildings. Alternatively you can take the stairs.
- Fully accessible toilets are located on every floor on the concourses.
- A quiet room is available to use in the Natalie Bell Building on Level 4.
- Ear defenders can be borrowed from the Ticket desks.
