Join Danielle Brathwaite-Shirley for an evening of performance future archiving

Artist Danielle Brathwaite-Shirley combines sound and animation to virtually dig up unarchived black trans ancestors and preserve them for the future.

Using videogames, animation, sound and voice, Danielle explores their desire to meet buried bodies like theirs and archive Black Trans Existence for generations to come.

Biography

Danielle Brathwaite-Shirley is an artist who explores their experience and survival as a Black Trans person. They have presented video work at Tate, Barbican, Les Urbains, ICA and given talks about their work at The Photographers Gallery and Royal Academy School . Most recently they made a video game archive which is currently exhibited at the Science Gallery.

The performance will be followed by a private view of the Zanele Muholi exhibition.
