Learn more about the St Ives Artists in this lively talk, Take me to St Ives: Creative Journeys and Modern Meetings

Join writer and art historian Michael Bird on a talk and tour of the Modern Art and St Ives collection display, exploring some of the key creative journeys that led artists to St Ives in the 20th century.

Michael’s books include The St Ives Artists: A Biography of Place and Time, Studio Voices: Art and Life in 20th-century Britain, Artists Letters: Leonardo da Vinci to David Hockney and monographs on Sandra Blow and Bryan Wynter. He has presented BBC radio features on Terry Frost, Patrick Heron, Peter Lanyon and Alfred Wallis, recently directed the Barbara Hepworth Project for the Royal Academy of Music, and is currently co-curating a St Ives exhibition due to open at the Museum Belvédère, Heerenveen, in autumn 2021. He is Royal Literary Fund Fellow at the University of Exeter.

Includes refreshments on arrival.
