This seminar explores how the legacies of women artists in twentieth-century Cornwall have been shaped by personal connections and material exchanges. Speakers include the artist Linder in conversation with art historian Professor Dawn Ades CBE (University of Essex), with a panel discussion chaired by art historian Dr. Sarah Victoria Turner (The Paul Mellon Centre).

Short presentations will be given by Laura Smith (Tate St Ives), Karen Di Franco (Chelsea Space), artist Lucy Stein, Leonie Shanks (Birkbeck College), Amy Tobin (University of York), Jeanie Sinclair (Falmouth University) and Helena Bonett (Tate / Royal College of Art). The day will end with an alternative tour of St Ives led by Jeanie Sinclair. The seminar is convened by Helena Bonett and Rachel Smith (Tate / University of York).
