Maggi Hambling: 'Every portrait is like a love affair'

Hambling is known for her intricate paintings of portraits, the sea, and sculpture

The Suffolk born artist Maggi Hambling uses her creative practice as a grieving tool to cope with the loss of her loved ones such as Henrietta Moraes, her mother and father.

We visited the Maggi in in her home studio as she is now working of a series of laughing portraits.
