Technique and condition
A watercolour on medium weight cream wove paper. The primary support has been folded in half and stuck on to a sheet of PVC with paper hinges, which has caused severe undulations in the support. The work is in good condition with noticeable surface dirt and small areas of foxing.
On acquisition the work was removed from the secondary support. It was dry-cleaned to reduce surface dirt and pressed. It was then inlaid and mounted onto white museum board.
