The entire sheet is covered by a mass of short, even lines. The four edges of the sheet contain two bands of design. The inner band is made up of a criss-cross mesh of lines. The outer rim is punctuated in black squares and single lettering, irregular in size. As the bottom right of the image is a small emblem; a sphere within a scroll. At the top right of the image, the mass of detail has been stripped away to leave a lighter area. This spoiling of the mass of lines, similar to a tear, continues across the outer bands of the image.
