Technique and condition
The image is painted in watercolour with a pencil underdrawing on cream laid paper. The work is in good condition with noticeable surface dirt and small areas of foxing.
On acquisition the work was removed from its mount and secondary support lining. The work was dry-cleaned to reduce surface dirt and pressed prior to being inlaid and mounted onto white museum board.
