Catalogue entry

This sketch of a square, pinnacle church tower among trees occupies only the left-hand side of the page; it does not appear to be a continuation from a later page, as is sometimes the case when only the outer part of the page is used. The rather slight subject is unidentified, but might perhaps be St Giles’s Church, Little Torrington or St Petroc’s, Petrockstowe, both of which are between Great Torrington (see under folio 80 recto; D09566) and Hatherleigh (see under folio 93 recto; D09582) in north-west Devon.
