Turner filled the lower half of this page with studies of the town and cathedral of Bayeux in Normandy. The top of the page also features coastal views with a sail boat. Tate curator Ian Warrell suggested that these drawing were taken in the vicinity of Le Havre on the Normandy coast.1 A list of the pages featuring these sites is included in the sketchbook introduction for comparison.
