Catalogue entry

This sketch probably depicts the Stintfang, an area of parkland overlooking the Elbe in Hamburg. Trees rendered with loose and fluid line delineate the parameters of the Stintfang from the quayside beyond; ships’ masts can be seen in the distance and figures people the foreground.
