Catalogue entry

The four-square keep of Lydford Castle is seen from the north-west, from the depression on that side of the village which runs into Lydford Gorge to the south-east, out of sight to the right here. There is a similar view including the adjacent church on folio 41 recto (D09524). This is the last of a sequence of views around Lydford, for which see under folio 28 recto (D09510).
