Catalogue entry

With the page turned horizontally, the view is south-west across Plymouth Sound from the shore of Firestone Bay to Mount Edgcumbe, with the folly above Ravenness Point on the skyline. The figures on the right are perhaps awaiting a ferry. There is a view to the south-east from the same viewpoint or nearby on folio 18 recto (D09235).
The subjects as far as folio 127 recto (D09358) are all identified or presumed sites within a few miles in and around Plymouth, suggesting a series of fairly short excursions.
