Catalogue entry

This sketch, and the drawing on the folio opposite (Tate D19945; Turner Bequest CCXVI 197a), are most likely studies of one of the portals of Saint-Vulfran Church at Abbeville. The elaborate Gothic mouldings and ornament are recorded in detail by Turner.
