Catalogue entry

There are faint indications of unidentified hills in the distance.
Technical notes:
The page has been cut down by 20 mm in both dimensions. The trimming occurred along the top and right-hand sides, and was evidently done before the drawing was made: the grey wash does not reach the right-hand edge. For comment on the combination of grey and brown used here see under Tate D01657–D01660 (Turner Bequest XLI 26, 26a, 27, 28) in this sketchbook.
Verso:
Blank; not stamped.
